Our Client
A.R.T.-Scape, Inc. and Atlanta Turf Care are two fairly successful, collaborative companies owned and operated by the same family. A.R.T.-Scape, Inc. has been providing quality full-service landscaping and lawn care since 1986 while Atlanta Turf Care has been offering comprehensive turf care, aeration, fire ant & insect control, and disease-control services. Due to the economic downturn, both companies experienced loss of some high-volume customers; however, they still aspired to maximize profitability in spite of a weak economy.
Their Challenge
We identified a growing need to clearly define services and examine the relationships between the two businesses. With no ongoing marketing campaigns for either business and outdated systems, they approached us looking for a well-executed marketing strategy that focused on growth and expansion in a volatile market.
Our Solution
We started first with research and assessment. By identifying the most profitable services, we helped them build on what they do best. Next, we examined current job roles to eliminate duplication of resources. By clearly delineating each role’s responsibilities, we identified core capabilities absolutely essential to their growth.
Next, we gave our honest recommendation. We suggested merging the two companies and renaming it to create stronger brand-recognition. We also introduced a considerable savings benefit by avoiding the maintenance of two distinct brands. Lastly, a new SEO-ready website was recommended to drive online referrals and to promote the expanded service offerings.
Then, we added our design magic. With the client’s approval, a new logo and color scheme was adopted for the newly formed, “ArtScape Lawn & Turf Professionals.” We designed and launched their new website and then produced all new business collateral using the new logo and layout ranging from printed letterhead, invoices and forms to providing corporate apparel and vehicle graphics.
Lastly, we prepared them for continued growth. An offline and renewable marketing plan was developed through the design and execution of a Direct Mail marketing campaign. We also designed and produced a Door Hanger as an advertising piece to reinforce the mailing.
